Coconut Oil Laxative – The Secret of Natural Constipation Relief

An explanation of the coconut oil laxative effect in food. When used regularly coconut oil can be a remarkably good way to control and prevent constipation.

How to Use Coconut Oil for Constipation

Coconut oil is an excellent natural remedy for constipation because it can act as an effective laxative when used regularly (in food) and in the appropriate amount.

It can soften hard stools and prevent dangerous tearing or haemorrhaging that can occur when you force or push your bowel movements too hard.

According to the USDA, coconut oil is high in lipids, which aid in health. Medium-chain fatty acids in coconut oil work to stimulate the cells that line your colon and digestive tracts, increasing their energy and metabolic efficiency.

Cook with 2 teaspoons of coconut oil in place of other oils. Some people find that repeating this method three times a day yields better results. Coconut oil is said to have a stronger antimicrobial effect than other oils.

Coconut oil is hypoallergenic and contains lauric acid, which aids digestion and relieves constipation.

When you consume unrefined coconut oil with food, it causes you to poop soft and watery stool.

But be cautious! Never eat it raw with a spoon!

But be cautious about how you eat it! It causes stomach cramps and diarrhoea if you drink two tablespoons straight from the jar on an empty stomach.

Coconut oil's health benefits have been hotly debated. Despite the endorsement of superfood fans, scientific evidence has struggled to back up the hype surrounding coconut oil health products.

Many proponents claim that coconut oil can cure constipation. So, what are these claims, and is there evidence to support them? Read on!

How to Take a Dose of Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is an excellent natural laxative. It aids in the relief of discomfort caused by stool passing or abnormal bowel movements.

Many people use it in coffee in the following way:

  • boil water for one cup of coffee,
  • place 1 spoon of coffee powder in the cup,
  • pour water over it, and mix well,
  • then add 1/2 spoon of coconut oil and mix well.

Sip it slowly for maximum effect, and gradually increase the amount of coconut oil by 1/2 spoon every day.

The laxative nature of the drink will allow for easy movement of the bowl and relief from constipation.

Benefits of Using Oil as a Laxative

Constipation is characterised by hard, difficult-to-pass stools. Stool softeners, bulk-forming laxatives, and stimulant laxatives all help to relieve constipation in different ways.

Mineral oil and other lubricant laxatives make it easier to pass a bowel movement. These treatments can be harsh and are not meant to be used on a long-term basis.

Coconut oil is another fat that may provide similar benefits.

These fats can also be found in foods such as palm oil. However, if you have frequent constipation and want a natural remedy, we recommend trying coconut oil, which has a laxative effect.

Why is Virgin Coconut Oil so Good for Constipation?

Because it just is! Coconut oil is excellent for relieving constipation. Coconut oil is one of my favourite ingredients. Every year, I go through gallons of it.

It is estimated that approximately 95 million Americans suffer from a digestive disorder.

Including Virgin Coconut Oil in your diet can help with digestive disorders such as Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, gastritis, constipation, and more.

As previously stated, coconut oil is high in medium-chain fatty acids (MCTs).

I apply it topically to rashes, burns, and other skin irritations, as well as in homemade creams, lotions, and makeup removers. I also use it to cook and bake. It's great for gluten-free baking because it softens and adds a lovely texture to whatever you're making. Gluten-free products can dry out quickly, and I've discovered that using coconut oil in baking keeps baked goods softer for longer.

MCT oil, like pure coconut oil, can help with constipation. The medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) in both pure coconut oil and MCT oil help to relieve constipation. However, because MCT oil contains 90+ McFas and pure coconut oil contains 50–64% McFas, taking MCT oil may cause your bowels to loosen faster and stronger.

Does this mean that if two tablespoons of pure coconut oil, such as Virgin or RBD coconut oil, is required to cause you to poop? You'd probably only need one tablespoon of MCT oil to help relieve constipation.

Pet Constipation Remedies

Organic extra-virgin coconut oil can work wonders for constipation in your pet!

(As we have said already: It is also beneficial to people suffering from constipation and is one of the natural remedies for constipation.)

For every 10 pounds of body weight, use 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil. Don't give your pet/ dog too much because he or she may experience the opposite problem – diarrhoea!

If you notice that your pet's stools are becoming too greasy, reduce or discontinue the medication.

How to use virgin coconut oil as a laxative for cat constipation relief

After reading many cat constipation posts, I learned how to use virgin coconut oil as a natural laxative for constipation relief.

I experimented with 1/4 teaspoon virgin coconut oil and 1/4 teaspoon apple cider vinegar in her wet food.

She had no trouble with it and devoured it.

She was pooping normally within a half-hour.

This was after four days of problems. If your cat has constipation most of the time, coconut oil can help.

What if virgin coconut oil doesn't work on you?

According to the MDs, urologists, and urogynecologists at Garden State Urology, coconut oil is generally safe and effective as a lubricant. It won't be likely to do you any harm.

Fish oil, castor oil, and coconut oil all have laxative properties without causing diarrhoea.

The idea is that incorporating 1-2 teaspoons of virgin coconut oil into your diet can help prevent constipation by “lubricating your intestines.”

So, if it doesn't work for you, try another option or consult a pharmacist or doctor.

How to Cure Constipation Using Natural Remedies

Home remedies for constipation are popular for a reason. Constipation, which affects 95  million Americans, is one of the most common bowel problems in the Western world.

It is critical to understand how to get rid of constipation safely.

The risks and side effects of laxatives and other risky constipation medications are well known.

Many people, including most health practitioners, seek out natural home remedies for constipation in order to safely relieve constipation.

Constipation symptoms in adults commonly include stomachache, cramps, or loss of appetite, which results in the passage of smaller stools.

The uneasy feeling of nausea or bloatedness can also be attributed to constipation, but the main symptom remains the difficulty passing stools.

Pregnancy constipation is also a common occurrence, often caused by psychological abnormalities such as anxiety or general worry; in this case, your healthcare provider may recommend a stool softener medicine.

There are different types of mineral oils: some can be used internally, while others can be used externally in the rectum with an enema.

Mineral oil, on the other hand, is not absorbed by the body. It simply passes through your digestive tract, absorbing everything that must be absorbed and softening the stool. It also protects and lubricates your intestines.

Coconut oil, it is suggested, is similarly retained and appears in the stool. Mineral oil and coconut oil, in this way, are another type of cure that helps relieve constipation pain.

Many people, however, prefer to at least try coconut oil, believing that it is preferable to use a natural product over a mineral one.
